Boring food post

No bakery this time, but I have to say that I ♥ my hand blender. I don't know what I used to do without it, my favourite snack these days is soy milk or buttermilk with various kinds of fruit. Very yummy, very easy, and great for a treat between meals. These days, living in an apartment right under the roof on the fifth floor, these things are awesome with crushed ice.

We tried different varieties, with strawberries, kiwi, and bananas:

The kiwi one wins everything, it's absolutely tasty, the strawberry one is awesome, although I prefer the fruits as they are. It was a good way to deal with the squashed ones at the bottom of the basket we bought.

And I can do really pretty rolls now:

Right. More work. Whee. It's absolutely beautiful weather outside and I wish I could do something else entirely.

Sure! I used this recipe from Marion's Kochbuch (http://www.marions-kochbuch.de/rezept/0534.htm) for the rolls and added shredded linseed. You get the pretty crust by forming the rolls with wet hands, I don't think she says that in her recipe, and the linseed stays on better if they're wet, too.

Those smoothie-things basically consist of 500ml soy milk and your fruit of choice (I usually use two bananas, one banana and one kiwi, or two to three kiwis, or five large strawberries - it all depends on taste and size of fruit). You can also add yofu and mix it with milk if you're hungry.
