D= Wow, that sounds special even for him. But he is known to be like that during his office hours, too. He treated me like a moron when I first came to see him to ask whether it was possible to hand in my paper early at all - before I had even started writing my paper. He started asking me about the methods I would use for writing my paper (I didn't even have a topic yet! D=) and when I mumbled about the very first steps I'd take, he said rather severely that that wouldn't do at all for a paper (gee, really?).

His expectations for oral presentations are crazy high, too. The only presentations he was fine with in the class I attended were those based on papers that students had already written. I was rather glad I was the last one to hold my presentation, otherwise I wouldn't have know that.

It's Prof F. I brought along my brother last time and he didn't bat an eye, yes of course he'll be fine. I heard via the grapevine that there'll be an excursion (his last! D =) on March, 21st, starting at around ten. I was going to e-mail him about it on the weekend, I'll let you know what he says. :)
