Procrastinate more

Yes, I ought to be preparing lessons for Monday - I still need to finish my one-page-guide on how to write an essay, come up with fourteen mini-research topics for next Friday and a way to explain gender to the unenlightened.

Also, is it just me, or is Pottermore just a slightly less interactive, official, child-proofed version of HEX?
And I must say I diasagree with the house system. Not that I mind being placed in Ravenclaw, but what about a violin, a forest, and a preference for saving valuable spellbooks over school administration documents and teacher's property says "Ravenclaw"?

Hrumph. It's a nice time-sink so far, in a point-and-click kid of way. Anyone else on there, though? Let's be buddies (I'm SilverSky77).

And as for Minerva's backstory - I'm not too fond of it because of the large focus this places on romance. There is more in a witch's life, especially someone as accomplished as Minerva. I'd have loved more detail on what exactly she did in the ministry, and especially what exactly she did with her animagusy ways (why invest that much time and ability into acquiring such a complex ability and then never use it?).

Also, I'm kind of wondering on what kind of basis Dumbledore makes his staffing decisions - is heartbreak mandatory or just some kind of nice bonus?

I haven't joined Pottermore -- I procrastinate enough as it is; I don't need more excuses /g/.

I'm actually sort of relieved about the Minerva backstory; of course it's heterocentric, but I never doubted it would be, and from a fanficcer's persepctive, it's far less constricting than I feared. There's still lots of space for us canon-whores to play.

At least it's only the beta and therefore only half-finished, otherwise it'd be too much of a temptation.

I'm torn on this - I'm grateful for the loopholes, too, and I'm also more excited about the news than I thought I'd be (even the Dursley backstory, and I'm not that fond of Vernon in particular), but the focus on romance still pisses me off.
