Art: Troubles. (Tobias, Eileen and Severus Snape. G.)

Title: Troubles.
Characters: Tobias Snape, Eileen Snape. Severus Snape.
Rating: G.
Credits: pose for Tobias by ~thepropagation3, Severus, texture by `cloak
A/N: Another non-subtle one, I'm afraid. There is a companion drabble that goes with this "drawable". Also maybe I did have a little too much fun when I was doing "Argument", but overlapping silhouettes are awesome. And my deepest apologies to the arachnid community for the blobby specimen, I don't seem to do spiders well.

Troubles
The jagged voices downstairs felt as though the serenely twitching legs of the floating spider were walking across Severus' brain, pulsing behind his left eyebrow. He concentrated, wand ready, ignoring both voices and imaginary eight-eyed pleading.
He rejoiced in the intricate power of the spell, like a forbidden swig of wine burning his throat. Anger alone was not enough, it needed to be funnelled, focused. When his mother shouted at his taunting father to give back her wand the third time Severus almost managed.
But he stopped and watched the eight limbs uncurl gently, trying to regain their shaky confidence.

Wow, again extremely powerful and intense. And the drabble makes me shudder. Great work!

Ah this broke my heart all over the place! It's brilliant, though, especially with the drabble. It makes sense to me that practising the Unforgivables would have developed out of Severus needing to discharge the dark emotions welling in him from his parents--or maybe even just see them in action, under something closer to his control. Frightening and excellent picture/story!!
