Curious...

Lots of snow?

Hm.

And proper snow, too, with big, fluffy flakes and all.

'....Years and years ago, when I was a boy, when there were wolves in Wales, and birds the color of red-flannel petticoats whisked past the harp-shaped hills, when we sang and wallowed all night and day in caves that smelt like Sunday afternoons in damp front farmhouse parlors, and we chased, with the jawbones of deacons, the English and the bears, before the motor car, before the wheel, before the duchess-faced horse, when we rode the daft and happy hills bareback, it snowed and it snowed. But here a small boy says: "It snowed last year, too. I made a snowman and my brother knocked it down and I knocked my brother down and then we had tea."...'

Isn't it wonderful?! I love the smell and sound of snow, and danced back home trying to catch snowflakes with my mouth :)

Great quote. My favourite bit is the duchess-faced horse *lol*

Hm, I don't know. I don't really like snow. It makes my knees and hands ache. But it does look pretty when you're inside, looking out. :)

Isn't it? It's from "A Child's Christmas in Wales" by Dylan Thomas. My favourite Christmas-related text. Ada reads it to her courses at Christmas every year.

Aching joins suck big time, my sympathies.

I never had Ada, and so far no teacher ever read us a Christmassy story... hmm. Ros gave us the text of Dinner for One, though *g*

Hannah was overjoyed when she saw it had snowed. We had a little snowball fight and it was all very cute and fun :)

You like snow? I think it looks pretty, but is mostly annoing.

Oooh, she would be. :)

Nah, I don't. It makes my knees and hands ache like hell - and it's so cold! But pretty if you're in a warm room.

Justin woke me up before he left this morning because he was afraid the cat would not go outside in the snow to poo. I was not amused. It melted by mid-day, too!

Hehehe. And, did your kitty go out? Mine refuses to touch anything wet, including snow.
