*grins* I had hoped that they'd refuse me and I wouldn't have to make this decision after all. I am being very sensible about this, not overreacting a bit. [/irony]
Thanks for your entry yesterday, btw. I really appreciate it a lot.
I SUCK suck suck at making this decision. I don't knooooow which uni is going to be better, although curiously, the Die Zeit Hochschulranking said that our Professors were better than the ones in Hanover. The students said that Hamburg sucks, sucks, sucks, and they thought Hanover was alright. So... yeah. I
I have no idea which place'd be better, but since didactics is integrated in the subjects you want to teach over there it would be a good idea to go for that. My final exam could focus on education and didactics of German instead of Gender in Modern German Literature, which is always a good thing.
Oooh, I don't know. The thing is: of course I couldn't come back. :D That'd be completely... moronic. So... I could change to a uni that's worse than Hamburg and smaller, but offers a structure that seems to fit my plans for the future better, or I stay here. *dies*
Content-wise, there's also Narratology, and I want to do my finals on that, probably, and poetry. In Hanover, no one offers it. I'd do my final on didactics over there.
Narratology as a final topic would mean that I'd only have to prepare the topic once and be tested on it in English and German, which does have certain advantages. In Hanover, I'd do the same with didactics. So the question is really whether Professor Hühn wants to examine me in two years' time and if I can bring myself to ask Professor Hans-Harald Müller to test me. Professor Hühn said until the end of '07, full stop, sooo... and I don't really get along well with Hans-Harald Müller. Since we are THE Narratology centre... it'd be brainless to walk away from that. They've even devised several modules on Narratology for the ickle BA/MA students, so there will still be plenty of Narratology teaching, but I don't know if there will be any Narratology examiners. So... yeah.
Still, the uni of Hamburg offers better courses in Education - and more of them. Well. And we've got more and better courses in German. Still, all the nitty-gritty is better at Hanover Uni - no Latin, no book list, no 10 more courses in Education. They do, however, have more exams than we do.
Ok. I'll shut up about the pros and cons now. This is SO annoying!

Ah, Moth.
Emr.
Hi.
Ahm.
Don't mind me.
I am just ...
... just driving out others' opinions from here.
It's not the right place for them to...
...to lay their eggs, you know.
Do you...?
