Obligatory snow pic dump post

What I had taken for rain yesterday turned out to be snow, after all. So, here are some obligatory snow pictures from the neighbourhood I took on my way to the library.

My camera does really strange things to colours in the dark. Sometimes, especially when hanging on to a window ledge while my sleeves are being soaked in snow, waiting for the shutter to click, I really wish I had my non-digital single-lens reflex camera and, more importantly, the tripod with me. Or Mum's digital SLR.

It's really awesome how the snow makes everybody fool around and build snowmen.

It was melting around mid-day, though.

Ok, back to work.

We have snow as well!! =)

I simply love the shot of the gravestone with the snowman in the background.

Yay! :)

It was awesome, seeing all those families with their kids running around between the headstones, snowball fighting, building snow men, sledding.

I looove the snowy tree at night! The snow-covered plant and the berries (?) are the photos I like the most, after that tree. Too bad it hasn't snowed enough around her for snowmen.

Oh, I love that tree. It's directly in front of our window, and was the first thing I saw when I opened it. It glittered in the light coming from inside - really pretty. Those round things are the, er, fruits of the plane tree - I love how they each had little caps of snow on them.

I was surprised how much snow there still was this morning, to be honest. There were huge amounts at night, though.

What a wonderful view! There wasn't much snow left here once the sun was out, unfortunately. I'm hoping for more :)

:) You must have passed it by on your way to uni today, it's in one of those big cement plant container things next to the post. Although I doubt it's still covered in snow.
