Even though I love Susan, I wasn't too fond of her rendition in the movie. The Colour of Magic I did like, but that might be because that is one of the three Discworld-novels which I have only read once and really don't care about at all.
This one... I have high hopes so far, though wtf did they do to Angua noooo not another human wolf-thing. -_-
Had to google who Jeff is, as I've never gotten past the first episode of Coupling, that's not surprising (can you recommend it?). I like the look of him, though.<3
And Angua - given what they did to Lupin I should probably count my blessings because she's at least got fur!
Yeah, as if Lupin wasn't disappointing enough already. What part of "turns into a wolf" don't these movie people understand? At last fandom is smarter - I've never once read anything in which he or Angua turn into such a creature; they're always wolves.
It was especially ironic in the HP-verse, considering the point that Snape makes of teaching the kids the subtle differences you need to know to tell werewolves apart from real wolves.
Coupling is...kind of like Friends, but actually funny. I enjoyed it, although it has some annoying aspects and some of the characters are rather irritating (Jeff is...um, wow, I don't know how to describe Jeff. Utterly sex-obsessed and clueless and kind of horrible, but in a somewhat endearing way?). It's a particular kind of humor.
I'd give it a few episodes.
I think I have a fairly specific mental image of Angua as being--pretty and statuesque, but in a kind of unstudied outdoorsy way that's sort of overshadowed by the more intimidating aspects of her personality. Also, wavy hair, but I dunno where that came from and it may even be contradicted by the books.
On a completly related note: Dear filmmakers, could you start making adaptations of Terry Pratchett's books that feature his other one-thousand awesome, kick-ass female characters, too? Not just the love interest(s)? Not that I don't like Angua, of course. *loyally waves little werewolf flag*
Ok, that is fairly specific. I don't think we know whether her hair is wavy or not, though. We do know it's blond and shiny (due to Willard's "Good Girl" Flea Shampoo). I only picture her vaguely as a muscular and outdoorsy blonde with a rather threatening smile, but I never really managed to get a fixed image of her.
Silly, who'd be interested in watching a movie about old women kicking ass? It wouldn't work, there'd be no discernible hero, since there wouldn't be a guy in there. It'd be total horror vacui for the viewer!
Oh, and a heads-up on Coupling: one of the characters is bisexual and also pretty much bonkers (in a fairly annoying way). The association really frustrated me at times.

Moist is perfect, though! And ahaha, I just looked him up and he's JEFF. That's why he's familiar! How perfectly wrong.
