Toc toc toc toc toc pause. Toc toc toc pause. Toc pause pause pause. Toctoctoctoc pause. Toc longer pause. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. No wait not finished yet Brbrbrrrrr. Toc toc toc pause. Toc pause. Toc? Toc pause. BrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr yeah I mean business now and I'm not going to stop anytime soon BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.

Yes, our  downstairs neighbour chose this weekend to do some refurbishing.

It's 33°C inside and 40°C outside our flat. Though I'm beginning to wonder if it isn't actually colder outside, can't possilby be even hotter.

3pm update: 37°C outside, 34°C inside. Huh. I should be outside.

It's truly insanely hot. Poor you! Having to listen to flat refurbishing noises in this heat must be hellish.

Outside, there's wind, at least...

Unless you plan on putting up wooden panels on your walls I doubt you could ever be as annoying as the guy downstairs. :D

Taking the bed down won't be half as annoying, as we're leaving the walls alone. Drilling holes truly sucks for the neighbours.

Well, thanks to our fan, the air inside our flat is in motion, too, and all the windows are open. We're on the top floor of the building, so we get quite a lot of wind. Still. -_-

Top floor also means most of the sun, doesn't it? I quite love having so many trees close by, they give enough shade for us not to be baked. If one believes the weathercast, tomorrow will be even hotter -__-

On wich floor is your flat? Since mine is on the ground floor and due to its few windows (3) it is comparatively dark and cool here.

I hope the neighbour will be finished soon *no hugs for fear of getting stuck, but offers of ice-cream*

Fifth, right on top of the building, under the roof. -_- It's not very well isolated and right now, it's actually warmer inside (34,5°C) than outside (34°C).

At least he meticulously sticks to the noise regulations and keeps the times very well. Still, I'd rather he worked through lunch break and past eight p.m. and finished sooner instead.

It's not quite that hot here in Cologne, although I'm sure the difference is only between 2 and 5°C, but my flat is 18 m² and in my everything-room (kitchen, bed, desk) a PC labours all day, cooking the room air. I can't wait for next weekend when it will hopefully be cooler again and I'll be in my mother's spacious house.

I hate summer.
Luckily, things are supposed to cool down starting in the West.

Oh god, PCS. We're a two-PC-household and they're on when we're at home most of the time, so they're a pretty decent extra heat source, and the noise their coolers are making has become somewhat frantic over the last days. Really makes me wish I was in my brother's den or my father's lab in my parent's basement in Hamburg. It's so nice and cool there.

I used to think I prefer summer, but right now, I'm not so sure about that anymore. Can't wait for things to cool down a bit.

Nasty. This makes Cleveland's jumps to 35° every other day for the past few weeks seem tame.

I have a friend who's living in Berlin on fellowship this year, and she's been telling of how there are hardly any ACs around to help with the 40°+ temps. I personally like hot weather, but 40 is pushing it without a decent means to cool off!
