Yes! My Prof is the kindest person in the world.
There is absolutely no literature in the entire University for the topic of our course, "Die Verzauberung" by Broch. So he brought along his own books, spent a few hours at the copy shop and put photocopies of them into the course folder. That man is great. Most people don't like him, however, because he thinks that reading 200 pages over the weekend for a course is normal. For a literature course, tut, tut. I don't know. With my 12 courses, it is a lot of work, but it also makes sure that people take his seminar seriously. However, it's really bad for all the people who need a lot of time for their job as well.
He expects more of his students than average professors, but that's alright as well. No one expects anything of students of German literature at the University of Hamburg. Why didn't I study somewhere else?
But today was a rather good day. Instead of staring at my walls, thinking about what to do, I spent the day at the Uni, getting some tedious work done. Selecting literature and the like, I also photocopied what I need for Old English and the course reader for "Broch".
Now I come home and everything is dark and quiet. Right outside of my window, there is a huge pale crescent and above, the evening star. It looks absolutely great - I wish my camera was better suited for this kind of picture. Against the soft night sky it looks like a picture on a postcard.
Reminds me very strongly of Clare, Longfellow, Poe and others.

John Clare

Hesperus

Hesperus, the day is gone;
Soft falls the silent dew;
A tear is now on many a flower
And heaven lives in you.

Hesperus, the evening mild
Falls round us soft and sweet:
'Tis like the breathings of a child
When day and evening meet

Hesperus, the closing flower
Sleeps on the dewy ground;
While dews fall in a silent shower
And heaven breathes around

Hesperus, thy twinkling ray
Beams in the blue of heaven,
And tells the traveller on his way
That earth shall be forgiven.
