Loch Lomond

We've been to Loch Lomond yesterday. The weather wasn't perfect, but it wasn't too warm, either, luckily. Absolutely wonderful day! Crocky, the lake, water, the weather, virtually no other tourists, a sleepy little village nestled into hills - perfect. It's scary to see how prepared they are for the summer rush - and what size they are expecting. Virtually every house along the single main road through Balloch offers a room or two as a B&B, and you should see the sheer size of those parking lots!

I remember Loch Lomond. I have been there on a very sunny summer's day.
Have you also had that feeling that you just had toi buy one of those house great houses and live by the loch forever?

Thank you. It's beautiful, isn't it? Makes me want to live here forever. I can't see why so many people are leaving for England when they are surrounded by such beauty. Well... Although I wouldn't want to live in Balloch, either. Maybe for a few years until the kids are in school, but I wouldn't dare to raise them there...

Absolutely! Although I fear that too much time surrounded only by beautiful landscape and no infrastructure would drive me insane. But for a few years? Only the landscape, a house on the shore, my computer and my thoughts (and Crocky, of course)? Heaven! When I am rich and famous...

Absolutely beautiful! I wouldn't want to live there, though, I'm a city person through and through. Holidays, that's what such beauty is for. Unforgettably beautiful holidays with loved ones.
