LOL! Yes Moth, Macs can use Word. I'm a Mac person and I truly believe that once you get used to them, they are SO much better than PCs. Macs have Microsoft Office, as well as an Apple program called AppleWorks that for some things is better. (Excel is still better at spreadsheets, but AppleWorks kicks Word's butt if you're trying to make certificates and stuff.) Macs tend to be better at dealing with graphics, which is why you see them so heavily used in graphics design and theatre, and Apple has had a long history of working well with schools, so you see them a lot in educational institutions. And with the new Intel-based Macs, a Mac can run Windows if you need it to, you just partition the hard drive and you've got both. Macs are virtually virus-free, which makes them even better in school settings- no worries about people downloading something stupid and infecting every computer on campus right at exam time.
