A/N: I'd like to imagine that the pictures speak for themselves, but since they're vague and silhouettes to boot I've included in a drabble at the bottom of the picture. Highlight if you're curious.

Family

Highlight for companion drabble:
The whispers where back when he was listening instead of sleeping. There was also more beer around the place but fewer people to drink it. His parents had tense, closed faces, they talked in clipped tones, each word had to be bitten off like toffee. And today Father was home, even though he wasn’t sick. Severus had spent his morning patiently helping him decorate a kite, but the man's eyes had been restless.

Sombrely, Severus drew his lucky symbol on both kites and made a deal with them: if he could make them fly, things would go back to normal.

Title: Son.
Characters: Eileen Snape, Tobias Snape, Severus Snape, Death Eater of your choice.
Rating: G.

A/N: Another companion drabble that explains what is going on here. Apologies for the bad quality.

Son

Highlight for companion drabble:
One night, they came, with a stranger's shout and the mark burning across the sky, promising destruction. As the door slammed open, Eileen and Tobias pressed against the wall and each other desperately, not daring to close their eyes, their sleepy breaths mingling in chopped gasps.
They hardly believed it when they recognised the steps. His empty eyes betrayed no emotion when he met theirs. His parents saw the wand rise shakily, then lower, neither motion deliberate. For a second, Severus was back, but then, his expression changing, the Death Eater turned.
"There is no one here. Let's go back."

Very powerful, both of them. I think the drabbles add another effective dimension. As always, you do a fabulous job with hair, and their body language is quite telling. The backgrounds are perfect.

Thank you! I wasn't sure about the drabbles, I'm glad you think they add to the pictures.

These are bloody fantastic! Great choice of colours and the characters are beautifully done. You know when I saw these I thought you had created mouse pads.

The backgrounds are fantastic, truly compliment the main focus.

Bravo!

These are just so stunning and powerfully evocative. The silhouette idea is brilliant and so beautifully matched with the backgrounds.

Amazing and heart-breaking, the art and the drabbles both. You are a wonder.
