The rules are thus:

1. Grab the nearest book.
2. Open the book to page 123.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the text of the next 3 sentences on your blog along with these instructions.
5. Don’t you dare dig for that "cool" or "intellectual" book in your closet! I know you were thinking about it! Just pick up whatever is closest.
6. Tag three people.

The book is The Life of Pi by Yann Martel, which is not even mine. It's Crocky's, and it's an awesome book.

There was a bumping and scraping sound against the hull of the lifeboat. A few seconds later, so close to the lifeboat I could have leant donw and grabbed it, a large sea turtle appeared, a hawksbill, flippers lazily turning, head sticking out of the water. It was striking-looking in an ugly sort of way, with a rugged, yellowish brown shell about three feet long and spotted with patches of algae, and a dark green face with a sharp beak, no lips, two solid holes for  nostrils, and black eyes that stared at me intently.

Oh, tagging. Hmm. I tag [profile] bronnyelsp, [profile] firenightingale and [personal profile] fourthage.

Butterflies

Goodness, I don't have a life anymore! Sorry for spamming, but I love butterflies, they are the prettiest creatures I know and I did want to show you some. Yesterday, my awesome Mum took us (Julian, Crocky and me) to the Butterfly House in Hamburg. That's a kind of zoo for butterflies. It consists of three greenhouses in which the prettiest tropical butterflies flutter around freely, it's a truly magical place and I remember coming the first time when I was around six.

It was scary to see just how many people had brought their camera when we were there. I remember that back then, there were around five people who had one, now it was every second person in the room who had either a camera or a mobile phone with a camera function. Scary. They are probably sitting at home doing exactly the same thing I am doing just now.

Still, these butterflies are soo pretty! And huge, compared to those we have here, at home, and far more colourful. Well, apart from the peacock butterfly, of course.

So, here goes.

So. Will toddle off now. Sorry for the spam attack!
