Christmas

Christmas is drawing nearer and nearer..

Hm, this is the first Christmas I don't spend with my family.
I wonder what they think about that - they don't actually seem to care. Well, my brother already told me he was going to miss me, but my parents and grandma don't actually seem to mind or care - they didn't react at all. I am not sure about whether that is good or bad.

Both, I guess. Ah, well. I'll better go packing again.

No doubt they've spent quite a few Christmases alone/apart and have forgotten the significance of that "first one." Example: my nephew just buckled his own belt for the first time in his entire life. Just now! If that isn't significant, I don't know what is (he just came in and told me). Although maybe you shouldn't *have to remind the family of these sorts of milestones, perhaps it would be a good idea in this case. No need to be stoic. You deserve some extra care, me'thinks, and if you remark as to the significance of this upcoming Christmas (just in an off-hand sort of way), no doubt they'll wake up and give you that lovin' you really do need.

That said, excuse me here, Moth, as I molest you by giving out unrequested...

Yay for your nephew! :)

I guess I just mind that no one is objecting to the fact that I chose to spend this Christmas with another family. Here am I, being a grown woman, going my way, being "rebellious".. - and nobody cares. :P Ah well. It's better this way, with them not missing me too much or fussing, that way I can do what I really want. :)
