heehee... apparently, Mesa isn't the only one who knows how to do scrolling text. :o) Anything special planned for Crocky's birthday? I know her is coming up soon... right around the time of my aunt's (the university music theory teacher... they remind me of one another).

It was quite a day. I went to go observe the kids at the new job. And then there was the part that involved contacting my father for the first time in about 4 months. You know, in spite of all of the father-problems I've had... I really really miss him. :o( But, it was a good talk, so, maybe this is step 1 to repairing our relationship. We shall definitely see.

*hugs* and Thank You! :o)

*proud* I have mastered the art (

*proud* I have mastered the art ( <marquee*> text <*/marquee>, sans des *)!

How are the children? Isn't it difficult to work with children of that age group? AND special ed on top of that, that sounds like a very challenging and rewarding job. I really admire people who are able to work in special ed, I don't think I'd manage. So, well done!

I'm glad to hear that you miss your father, in spite of the troubles you've had, because that sounds as though things were getting better for the two of you! It's good to hear that you are on the way to repairing your relationship. Oh, I hope it will work out for you two. :)

Maybe the time spent apart will be good for both of you because you have the necessary space to see the other in a new light again?
It worked for me and my father while I was away in Glasgow. The space and not too many talks were good for both of us, because it took away all the immediate things that annoyed us about the other on a daily basis and gave us the opportunity to think about the other, at a certain distance. It made it possible for me to see him as a person again, and not as assorted annoying traits. :D
When are you going to see him again?

Crocky's birthday? Yes, I have made some schemes, although I can't tell you here, because she might read it. Oh, wait, I can, if I screen the comment after sending it, because you'll still get the E-Mail notification, right?
I'm planning to surprise Crocky with what I'm going to do (which is why I really hope she will not be able to read this!)
Plan A: I know that Crocky likes Jazz a lot, and since she told me that she'd like to come to Hamburg, I'm planning on getting tickets for a concert in one of Hamburg's Jazz clubs.
The only difficulty is that I have not the first idea about Jazz at all, so I won't be able to tell whether they're any good. I went for this band. There are webpages telling me that they're popular, but as I said, I have no idea whether they're any good, I have no ear for Jazz - and I doubt that a lot of pages would tell me if they were actually not worth seeing. Before I decide, I'll have to ask her what kind of Jazz she likes, though - because if she doesn't like Dixieland Jazz, I've got a problem and will have to come up with something else.
Plan B -I was thinking about an afternoon at the planetarium in Hamburg, if the talk on the 13th is any good.
Plan C - If it's not and the weather is alright, we'll have to settle for borrowing my Mum's car and driving out of town for the evening, having a picnic in a local park to look at the stars for ourselves. Those are my brainwaves so far. :)

... It might also turn to be a combination of two of the above three, planetarium and then Jazz club in the evening, planetarium and star-gazing at night, jazz club and really late star-gazing... Or so.

Many hugs!!
