I. Am. Ill.

I wanted to hand in those poems for my course for them to look at and now I. Am. Ill.

Again? So soon after that recent tummy bug? Oh no... :(

What is it, hun?
Just get well soon and allow yourself the time to get some rest... You have to...

*sends over some very gentle hugs and whatever is needed on tea and/or medication*

Thanks. :)

Actually, I already feel a lot better, so good that I finally went to the school to have that chit of paper signed saying that yes, indeed, I have been an internee for months there.

No time for resting now, oral reports to prepare. *rolls eyes*

What does your semester look like? I hope you are ok. And that your family's ok.

I'm so relieved to hear that... :)

Unfortunately, my semester's quite pathetic again, as far as the timetable's concerned. Very sorry I haven't sent you mine so far. Btw.: Did LJ eat my recent post to you? I was trying to reach you about that...

Still working on this linguistics and essay stuff because I couldn't take last semester's exams due to everything that happened around here... Meh...

But as far as the seminar's concerned (ling.), it feels good and the teacher's just great. It's Ms. Hilbert, btw. "Structure of the English Verb". I'm in good spirits that this will be done by the end of the semester once and for all... Longing to get into literature again, I can tell you. ;) And I will. Soon. Very soon. :)

I'm at the uni on Tuesdays 14-16 h, and besides that trying to get the bloody linguistics paper done... :( - If you ever feel like having some lunch or a coffee with an old fella like me, maybe, away from all the work you have, I'd be most happy. :)

Had a hard time fighting off that cold, I was having this time... But now I'm fine and ready to start over at uni. :)

Easter, however, I could've skipped this year. Sorta... Nice family argument at grandma's place, right before dinner, and my dad was admitted to hospital (yeah, right...) with gall stones and has been there ever since, facing surgery on Friday now. (UPDATE: postponed to next Monday or Tuesday, just got the call...)

Don't worry about me too much here, though... It bugs me, sure it does, but you were right about always telling me to keep some (or better some more ;)) distance to him... That helps, and my head's relatively free to cope with the things that need to be finished study-wise.

Besides, last weekend, dad couldn't stop telling me in that demanding voice of his he always tends to have on him, that I should please have the decency to dress differently than I did that day, asked me when I would consider seeing a barbershop from the inside next time, and if the world was slowly falling apart, looking at our generation as a whole. Seriously, this is where I almost stormed out of there, asking myself why I visited him in the first place, and thinking that if the pain wouldn't already be killing him, maybe I would. I mean, don't get me wrong, but seriously... These are exactly the things that make it kinda easier sometimes to cope with his condition, than I could with grandpa's, and most importantly mum's (who's quite ok by now, btw.)...

Well, fathers... Will they ever learn anything??

PS.: Thx for always being there for me... :)

How do you feel tonight? - Still everything quite ok?

Gah! He's facing surgery???

Not good. :( I hope everything goes well. It's really terrible to hear that so many members of your family are being admitted to the hospital at the moment. I hope things will be ok for all of them in the end. :(

I'm fairly ok. Reeeeaally nothing serious, circulatory problems, but bad enough to stop me from getting up - literally. Inherited from my Mum. Sometimes I'm just suddenly dizzy without apparent reason, and that teamed up with mild queasiness from god knows where and meteorosensitivity is just... not good. :)

Glad to hear that your seminar's good, though. And coffee sounds good, too, we'll have to find a time and date.

I didn't see that you'd updated, but then, I am a lazy friends page checker at the moment. Ahem. Will go and check in a moment, ok?

Hang on in there. :( I hope things will be looking up, soon. *hugs*

Yeah, unfortunately his gall bladder has to be removed completely now, which they keep postponing because his pancreas got inflamed in the process of his treatment as well.

Well, yeah... It is, really... It's like being in a contant time loop ever since last december... What is difficult about the whole situation is, that you never really get the distance from them that you wish you had at the moment. But as I said, emotionally it's easier for me to handle dad's situation right now than all the others before, mainly because of our past and all the little things that keep happening between us that keep warning me not to get any closer to him again, which I won't.

That's really good to know... Didn't mean to bug you about this, but with everything around here I couldn't help but worry a bit, anyway... Sorry about that. ;) - Especially since it was so soon after that last tummy bug you had there...

Sounds great. Whenever you have the time to check, just tell me where and when, ok? :)

That's ok, don't worry... It was basically the same about uni and timetable and all, I wrote here now. :)

Again?! Poor you, that really sucks. I do hope it'll be over soon. *hugs*

BTW, you can still baffle them with your lovely poems next week, can't you?

Good. Take your time, otherwise it'll come back again... Hope you'll survive that extra seminar on the weekend. If you feel like having a drink afterwards, come to my place, I'm having a small party (I suppose neither the email nor the icq message has reached you) :)

*stares*

o.O GAH!!! Nooo, it didn't, and I didn't see this comment, either, before today, that is. :(

I haven't been on ICQ for ages, I tend to be on MSN if I am on at all these days.

Thanks for the invitation. In retrospect. *blushes*
