This is the funniest parody/summary of Stephanie Meyer's Twilight I have ever read.

I feel bad for posting it because I know that there are people on my friends list who absolutely love the series, but this is SO hilarious I just had to share it.

My sister LOVES Twilight. She squeed as much as a squee-er can squee during the movie previews that played with Indiana Jones. I'll have to send her this link!

Oh, do!

Although I hope she won't hate it and come after me with torch and pitchfork. Innocently I sent it to another friend who obsesses about the books on a site, and she was... not amused, to put it mildly.

Considering the link was sent to me by an avid Twilight fangirl it seems that the fans enjoy snarky summaries as much as anybody else.

I heard about the movie. Not sure what to think about it. I want to see how they manage to get the vampires to sparkle, though, without succumbing to the Legend-syndrome.

I thoroughly enjoyed the books but had a hard time ignoring the major flaws. This parody/summary is hilarious. Thanks for the link.

I know. It was a guilty pleasure, reading this series.

Some parts were fun to read (werewolves!!!), others not so much. Still, it was interesting enough to read the second part as well, and to listen to the audio book of the third book.

Because, even though there were issues: werewolves!

I'm so happy I'm not the only one who enjoyed the books due to the werewolves, and mainly the werewolves :D

I'll read anything that has werewolves in it, and I do like her werewolves (and Jakob, when he's not using sexual violence on the heroine) The same goes for movies, and that means that I've seen an awful lot of really awful movies.

What severely bugged me about Meyer's werewolves is the underlying message on domestic violence she's got once again ("Stay with your abusive boyfriend! It is your task as a woman to calm him down and love him, regardless, and it is his task to control his anger" - give me a freaking break. Worse than the Beauty and the Beast), and the whole "imprinting" business also gave me severe creeps.

Gah, the 'imprinting' is very creepy, indeed. Especially with that two-year-old girl *shudders*
I'll gladly lend you my part 3, should we ever manage to be somewhere at the same time, planned.
