Under "available races", go down to Proposition 8: Gay marriage ban

To date there were 18,000 people or so who'd gotten married under the California Supreme Court decision since May. Not sure what's going to happen to their marriages, although I think they'll continue to be recognized as "legal".

I've seen that page, and it's scary. I was hoping that people in a county in which the marriages had been made legal would know that it does not really change anything about their own marriages or the institution in general, and that it is a good thing to introduce equality. Apparently not.

I hope that those marriages will still be seen as legal - although activists are less optimistic about that.

While the Mormon-bashing is just as wrong as this proposition, it is scary just how much the church has donated to this cause. I did not know that they had so much money to spare.
