Last day of school!

So, today's the last day of school! Free time, possibly even warm weather, and even free LJ kisses, oh my!

What more could I ask for. I've got my big cup of cappuccino and I'm absolutely not preparing any lessons right now.

And of course I managed to get sick, but I'm used to that once the stress is gone, so I'm starting my holidays sniffling and sneezing once more. I'm not really in the holiday mood yet because I'm going to work on my thesis in summer and get to house-sit in Hamburg rather than going away somewhere, but it'll still be nice to have some free time, finally.

Apart from working on my concept I'm translating something for the charity that my neighbour runs and I'm contemplating which PC game to buy. Although that means I'll have to upgrade my graphics card sometime soon, because mine has been increasingly wobbly lately.

But other than being sick, everything's FINE.

I just checked and my goodness, that's a long wait you've got left! It must be unbearable, especially given how hot summers get in Southern Germany. D=

I've never tried the Lego games, not really... getting the concept. Lego? On the computer? Huh? I heard that the HP lego games are better than those awful PC ones, though, so I've been thinking about giving them a go. At the moment I'm playing whatever I can find in Steam's summer bargain bin, though my computer is so old that many games are excluded before I've bought a new card.

I'm not much of a gamer, as I said; usually sticking with The Sims (still Nr.1, didn't like the look of 2 in the least), Sim City 3000 (don't like the newer versions either) or good 'ole Alpha Centaury (luckily still running on my XP machine); or give the newest Civilisation edition a go when my partner gets it. The concept of the Lego game was totally new for me and I had many difficulties at first *g*, but then started really to enjoy it. There is so much awesome detail, so much fun included if you know the fandom, and so many awesome things to do, to find, to solve, to come back to. What I particularly love is that in both cases, Harry Potter as well as Pirates, the characterisations of the game charas are very similar to the movie charas. If you can let yourself get lost in the movie fandom world, it's a really cool feeling. But of course, I think one has to like Lego to enjoy it as much as I did! ;o)
