Day 8 - A Walk Through Royal Aber

... and then my camera died.


But we had back-up.




Waterfall number 2.

A group of curious ponies avoiding the sun. Two of them wandered over to inspect us, but clearly weren't in the mood for human comany.

The route guide describes the way back as "a bit steep". They aren't wrong.

Oh dear - what happened to your camera? Is it fixable...!?

The batteries just went out, they sometimes do that. The fern is wonderful, though I can't recommend hiking through it.

*dreams* Oh how beautiful, and how inspiring... *dreams on* I would love to be at these small water basins and minuscule waterfalls, building dams and imagining stories... ♥

The entire country looks like something out of a book of fairytales, honestly. I could spend days walking through those forests, discovering these waterfalls. Not even just the big ones that have signs guiding tourists to them, there are thousands of little ones coming down hillsides everywhere, too.
