Recent projects
I'm now on ravelry and I finished two projects since then- the dragonscale bracers -  they can't really be worn in public, but they're really warm and pretty - and a hideous fluffy pink bear ear hat with earflaps which wouldn't even look cute on a child. A brave soul who'd put that thing on, but it was fun to crochet while it lasted and then not fun enough to salvage when I couldn't get the beanie base to get large enough to fit and thus had to resort to the hideous earflaps. Ah, well.

Bracers:

I love the bracers! They are wonderful! Why can't you wear them in public? I'd kill for a pair to wear. Mitts/bracers are my favourite way to keep my hands warm.

Thanks. Well, "in public" usually means "at school" to me, and they're not so good for that, especially because I usually get chalk all over myself and also usually walk around with my sleeves rolled up. They're really warm, so that's practical for home. :)

I too, can't see why not to wear them. Are they gang colors?

I once wore a Jayne Cobb hat in front of several hundred armed people.

Damn nice looking lens you have, btw.

Na, I just worded that badly. They're not practical for school, they're too frilly for that as they'd get chalk in them in ten minutes.

That lense (http://www.sigmaphoto.com/product/18-200mm-f35-63-ii-dc-os-hsm) is amazing, I use it for everything.

Why couldn't you wear the bracers in public? I think they're really neat. I'd wear them. I love to see the stuff you make. You're very good. :D

Thank you very much. :) Well, in public they're fine, but not at school (which I usually mean by "in public), due to chalk and all.

Love the bracers! I'd wear them in public :-)

And the hat is great fun. I used to have a furry pink coat a bit like it, which my mother described as looking as though I'd skinned a fraggle :-)

Thanks! :D It's a scale pattern, but I think they look more like feathers, which goes well with the Ravenclaw colours.
