He died "with his cat sleeping on his bed, surrounded by his family".
Of all the deaths, this is the one of the best ones I can imagine and in all my sadness I am happy that he got to go this way.

I've read one that my housemate told me to read and so very much loved it, but haven't yet started down the journey of his series. Now I'll have to do it with him as a happy memory--which is in itself a bit sad.
But if there's a way to go, I think that's it.
