I am proud of myself...
Sunday, October 2nd, 2005 04:51 pmBecause I have cleaned the windows in our flat.
Now, I know that does not sound mortifyingly interesting, but hey, I am scared of heights, and here I am, living in a flat on the second floor, standing on the sill of our 2m tall windows and leaning out to clean them, defying gravity and my fear of the faraway ground!
Wow, that I even bother to write this down or upload it so other people can actually see it shows how empty my sad little life is.
Other people are probably out for a little bungee jump or doing sky diving or something equally interesting, but I have nothing to contribute to the world of human achievements but defying my pet phobia.
Speaking of pets... I miss my cat.
There is a cat whining and mewing in the little courtyard behind the house we live in, all the time, all night, sounding like an abandoned child and reminding me horribly of my cat at home, sitting in front of my door, unable to get in. I miss him so much I could cry. I wish I could have taken him with me.
I really hope for the bank people that we will finally receive our data and cards tomorrow, because I want internet! The connection at the library is really slow.

ich muss jetzt gucken, was Hannah eibt.

Good for you for cleaning the windows and overcoming your fear! (silly Moth... I found this to be quite interesting, thank you very much!)
Oddly enough, I've recently found myself missing my cat as well... and he's been gone for a good 8 years or so now. Chris (who is my friend/landlord/flatmate/etc.) has a rather large cat, Pumpkin, who is friendly but refuses to ever be held. Can't understand why that is. Even my rather neurotic feline, Cookie II, would come and sit on my lap or chest every once in a while, be held, and purrrrr. Pumpkin does none of these things. :o\

Date: Monday, October 3rd, 2005 09:16 am (UTC)Eight years... now, that is a long time. I don't think that I could go on that long without a cat or a dog... How do you manage? But if there is a cat around it is manageable, I guess. :)
Strange cat. But mine refuses to be held as well if he is not hungry or wants something. Although... nah, he always wants something when he allows himself to be held, even if it is only to stop me from going away. He wanted to be taken here, too. We had to lock him in to keep him from coming after me.
Now the poor thing is still sitting in front of my door at home, waiting for me to come out, according to my brother.

Will Internet! Sigh.
