They are everywhere!!

I have never seen so many of them at once, it's amazing. And they are so pretty! We've spent twenty minutes ogling at the snails yesterday. What are they called, anyway? My dictionary says "edible snails". Ewww. I refuse to believe that, although I've seen them at Morrison's. Hm. "Large Garden Snails"?

I had almost forgotten how pretty they are.

Believe it, 'cause it's true (and yucky ;) You could also say gravepine snail, though.

So LEO told me, but somehow, it sounded so... convenient. But if you've heard it, too, not only the LEOnians, I guess I could use it. :)

It's really a shame, I've seen that you're there, but as I opened a conversation, the messenger crashed. Grr.

... one more reason for me to regret not having a home internet connection, believe me.

It's a funny thing, every German I bumped into at this place knows that site. We were actually arguing about the existence of one word in Russian one day, and the other German guy said, "I think I'll have to ask my best friend. LEO." - which had me in stitches for some reason. Ooh, I love LEO.

*g* Well, obviously, then, LEO is the best online English-German dictionary that exists.

You'll have one again when youre back, right? I miss ICQing with you at night ^^

Your pictures are impressive. I've never seen snails as beautiful, not really, just as annoying slimey things that destroy our garden...

Oh, I loved that movie. And I still know nearly all the songs by heart, it's almost embarrassing.

Paul? Who- ahh. I always forget his name. I need to see those! *wanders off to check*

Oh, and I still know Scar's song from "Lion King" by heart...well, in German. My sister got it for Christmas when it had come out on VHS, and I watched it two times, then sang the whole song. My father's comment: "Why can't you put so much effort in learning your Latin vocabs?" As if I had chosen that stupid song to glue itself to my braincells... ^^

Oooh, I know that feeling... Too many songs, too many silly tv adverts, especially.
I know the feeling from both sides, actually. *rolls eyes* You should hear Crocky after rehearsals. I must know every song that choir did, so often have I heard them.

When I first saw him, I hated him, but he has really grown on me - especially for how he threw out the desk in "A Beautiful Mind". I sooo loved him for that scene.

Looking back, I can't believe I hated him, seriously. I guess I've just been too grumpy about the absence of Chaucer's orignal story in the film to really appreciate the actors. *lol*

Oh, yes, I've seen "Master and Commander" and I've never even heard of "The Reckoning", let's watch that one. :)

I've liked snails ever since I was a little kid. Especially back then I spent quite some time watching them in the garden. They are beautiful indeed. :)

But only those with a housing. The other black ones without one, eww... *g*

Thanks for sharing the pics. Where have you taken them, btw?

Where? The ones taken at night were taken in a road paralel to the cycle path along the Clyde, opposite the Exhibition centre, the other ones in a street round the corner from where we live. It's on the way back from Sainsbury's, right in front of the playground. Eh.

I used to love snails when I was a child, too, and strangely, my mother was always opposed to me keeping them as pets. Weird...

Well, may I admit that I did keep some as pets back when I was little!? :D

Only for some days of course, in order not to harm and just to observe them... I so loved them. :)

Well, my parent's attitude really quenched my desire to keep them. When I brought home some garden snails for the first time it did not take five minutes until my mother had bustled up with a highly illuminating tome with highly illuminating charts and pictures and lots of highly illuminating cross sections of snails.

Yeah, slugs are not really my favourites, either. I think I must have been traumatised by the first time I trod on one. Ewww... Poor thing, but also ewww...
